Grim's smallest cordage tool, the cordage making micro tool, just Slip this tool onto your keychain, zipper pull, , backpack, or a small tin and its always right there for you with unparalleled space and weight saving. This tool can take two liter bottles that wash up on the creek and riverbanks, and process them down into a high strength cordage that can be used for fishing, snares, jug lines, campsite needs, just about anything you would use para-cord or rope for, but without the added weight in your pack. One two liter bottle can yield about 65-75 feet of line. One really great feature about the cordage this tool makes is that you can use it to attach our tools onto branches and handles and then put it near a heat source, shrinking and hardening the bottle cord and setting your tools in place.

It takes a little effort, but I was able to make my first bottle into one continuous string. My second bottle was less successful, but I did manage to get a good bit of useable cordage. Smooth, straight-sided bottles seem to work best, provided that the label is not glued on with a super-sticky glue.
I haven't had a chance to use the cordage to do any bush-crafting yet, but we've started a bench at the camp site that we intend to finish using this cordage, plus I'm planning to do a table and potentially a solar water heater tower.
I've been planning on building a slingshot shooting range in my yard, but haven't started yet due to the cost of lumber. It hit me recently, "Why not bush-craft it for almost free? The cordage I make using this tool will save me a few dollars there.
